Job Title: VP of Investor Relations

Company Overview:
We are currently partnered with a leading investment management firm based in the DMV area, seeking an VP of Investor Relations to join their fast growing team. The firm focuses on a diverse range of industries and this role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contribute to capital raising efforts, and support strategic growth initiatives across the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of RFPs, DDQs, investor reporting packages, and promotional materials for existing and potential investors.
- Create and update investor presentations, quarterly reports, and fund performance summaries.
- Guarantee quick delivery of communications to investors, including notices for capital calls and distributions.
- Support investor prospecting and relationship management for existing and new limited partners (LPs).
- Coordinate due diligence processes during fundraising cycles and secondary transactions.
- Organize and execute investor meetings, annual general meetings (AGMs), and roadshows.
- Monitor private equity market trends, competitor fundraising activity, and macroeconomic developments to inform investor messaging.
- Analyze portfolio performance and valuation metrics to provide insights for investor discussions.
- Collaborate with finance and compliance teams to ensure all investor materials meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Maintain and update CRM systems and investor databases for accurate tracking of investor interactions.
- Track LP sentiment and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to enhance investor engagement and improve fundraising outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in investor relations or fundraising within private equity, alternative investments, or asset management.
- Strong understanding of private equity structures, fund economics, and capital markets.
- Proficiency in performance attribution and valuation methodologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling investor narratives.
- Professional presence and ability to interact confidently with senior executives and institutional investors.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM systems and financial data platforms (e.g., Preqin, PitchBook, Bloomberg)
